about
We've been waiting years for the complete re-issue of this masterpiece.
This is the complete original soundtrack (with all the outtakes) for one of the most iconic Italian 'polizzioteschi', the local answer to the Charles Bronson/Clint Eastwood mania of the 1970s.
Written by the brothers De Angelis, the score alternates between killer funk grooves and more laidback instrumentals. For the very first time available as a double gatefold LP with original artwork and film stills.

Outstanding work, and I have no idea how it remained unknown to me for so long. There’s so much attention paid to timbre and arrangement, where every sound is exactly what’s called for at the right time and place in the stereo field. It almost sounds electronic, like the best album never made with bunch of Serge panels. RIYL everything from old Cold Meat Industry to Maurizio Bianchi to La Monte Young to Morricone soundtracks. A revelation, by my reckoning. Niall Munnelly
Composer Wakhévitch whose more percussion based albums Logos and Dr. Faust are diamonds of the French underground, knocks me out with this electronic masterpiece. Robert Bloemkolk
